Fatal Single-Vehicle Traffic Collision
On Monday, October 19, 2020, at approximately 7:29 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the area of West Hill Avenue and South Euclid Street regarding a traffic collision involving a single vehicle.
Upon arrival, Officers located a dark-colored Kia Optima that collided with a tree on the south side of Hill Avenue, west of Euclid Street. The vehicle appeared to have been traveling eastbound on Hill Avenue before it collided with the tree. Fullerton Police Officers discovered a 27-year-old male driver and 28-year-old male passenger of the vehicle, both with serious injuries. Officers immediately began life-saving measures on both subjects until The Fullerton Fire Department arrived on scene. The driver was transported to a local trauma center and is currently in critical but stable condition. The passenger, unfortunately, was pronounced deceased on scene. The identity of the passenger will be released by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
At this time, Accident Investigators do not suspect there to be any other vehicles involved and it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the cause of the collision.
