Fatal Motorcycle Traffic Collision
On Saturday, August 22, 2020, at approximately 7:43 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to East Bastanchury Road, west of Fairway Isles Road regarding a traffic collision involving a single motorcycle.
Upon arrival, Officers located a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle with significant collision damage, and a 30-year-old male motorcyclist with serious injuries. The Fullerton Fire Department arrived on scene and immediately began life-saving measures. The male motorcyclist was transported to a local trauma center and subsequently pronounced deceased. The identity of the motorcyclist will be released by the Orange County Coroner’s Officer.
Preliminary investigation reveals the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Bastanchury Road, lost control, and collided with the center median west of Fairway Isles Road. Witnesses were contacted on scene and there are no outstanding involved parties. At this time, it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs was a factor in the collision.
Fullerton PD Accident Investigators are on-scene and the exact cause of the collision is still under investigation.
