FPD Arrests Adult Male charter Bus Driver for arranging to meet 13 year old Boy

On May 2, 2017, Fullerton Police Detectives concluded a two week investigation about posts on an undisclosed social media site. The posts appeared to be from an adult male who was targeting male juveniles for sexual acts.

After a thorough investigation, Detectives were able to confirm that the individual posting to the social media site was in fact an adult male, and through his online conversations, the adult male made it clear that his intention was to perform sexual acts with male juveniles.

Last night, at approximately 8:25 PM, an undercover Fullerton Police Officer was present when the adult male, identified as Jerry Wayne Langley (50, Fullerton), arrived at the agreed upon Fullerton Park to perform sexual acts with a 13-year-old boy.

Langley was immediately taken into custody for violation of PC 288.4(a)1, felony arranging a meeting with a minor with the intention of performing sexual acts, as well as PC 288.4(b), completing the act of the arrangement with the intention of performing sexual acts with a minor.

This is an on-going investigation. Search warrants were served last night at Langley’s residence in connection with this investigation.

Langley works as a charter Bus Driver and thus he has had contact with children on a regular basis in the past through the course of his employment. The Fullerton Police Department believes that there are numerous other victims throughout the Southern California area, and we are asking them to come forward to speak with Detectives.

Anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Langley, has had inappropriate contact with Langley, or has any information regarding this incident is urged to contact Fullerton Police Family Crimes Sergeant John Ema at (714) 738-6580. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can call the Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1(855) TIP-OCCS or to their website at www.occrimestoppers.org.
