Motorcyclist dies in Fatal Traffic Collision
On Saturday, July 28, 2018 at approximately 11:27 AM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the area of Harbor Blvd and Imperial Blvd regarding reports of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located a 28-year-old male motorcyclist with significant, life threatening injuries lying in the northbound lanes of Harbor Blvd. Fullerton Fire responded and first responders immediately began providing life-saving measures to the male. Th...e 28-year-old male motorcyclist was transported to a local trauma center where, sadly, he was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries sustained in the collision.
Preliminary investigation reveals that a grey, 2017 Honda Civic, driven by a 58-year-old female, was exiting a shopping center in the 4100 block of North Harbor Blvd in an attempt to go southbound on Harbor Blvd, when a 2006 Honda motorcycle, travelling northbound on Harbor Blvd, collided with the Honda Civic, broadsiding the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The 58-year-old female driver (of the Honda Civic) remained at the scene and she is cooperating with Investigators. Investigators do not believe, at this point in their investigation, that alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in the cause of collision.
The identity of the deceased 28-year-old male motorcyclist will be released by the Orange County Coroner at a time they feel appropriate.
